Shekinah Medical Centre commenced operation in 1988, offering services in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and General Surgery.

It is a private company headed by Trevor Shepherd (general surgeon) and wife Agatha Scholar-Shepherd (obstetrician-gynecologist).

We have admitting privileges at two private tertiary care institutions - Bayview Hospital and MD Alliance Surgery and Birthing Centre - where major surgery is available.

The Centre is open for the normal business of seeing patients every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (except when a public holiday falls on these days).  Tuesdays is reserved for major surgery at the private hospitals and the office is closed.  On Fridays, Mr Shepherd is in office to perform minor surgical procedures.  Dr Scholar-Shepherd is not in office on Fridays, and we are closed on weekends and public holidays.
